How long does the link stay active?

Free uploads are active for 7 days from the time you upload. After that the file is automatically removed from our servers. If you need a permanent link, upgrade to the Starter plan — your file stays online indefinitely with no expiry.

Is it secure?

All files are stored on Cloudflare R2, one of the most reliable and private object stores available. On paid plans you can add password protection so only people with the correct password can view the file. You can also enable email capture (Pro plan) to collect the email address of anyone who accesses your link.

Tips for the best experience

1. Keep your file under 5 MB for the free plan (up to 10 GB on Pro).
2. Use a descriptive filename — it shows up in the browser tab.
3. For HTML files, make sure all assets (CSS, JS, images) are either embedded inline or hosted elsewhere — TiniDrop serves the single file you upload.
4. Copy the link immediately after upload; the success screen also lets you generate a QR code (Starter and above).
